every day in kilimanjaro is completely different due to the altitude....first day you walk through the rainforest

day 2 - then you slowly get above the clouds to a dry alpine desert

as you keep going up the wildlife and vegetation slowly decreases

night 2 - my tent and poop tent...3800 meters i believe

over 4000m it started to become noticeably harder to move and breathe...no vegetation at this point....this was day 4 i believe

while we were struggling, porters making 5 bucks a day with 50 lbs on their head would race by us

day 4 we hiked from 8 am to 5 pm and ended at base camp which was 4600m....we tried to rest and eat but due to the altitude everyone felt a little off....at midnight we made our ascent in complete darkness until 6:30 when we reached the summit for sunrise

after the hike i wanted to get to the beach as soon as possible, but still wanted to do a quick day in the crater....i found a driver heading over that way but he thought it would be an awesome time to drink a bunch of beers he went around a corner really fast and crashed into this ditch...we were in the middle of fucking nowhere and a tribe of masaai ran up to the car spears and everything...they thought they would be able to push the car out themselves

since my idiot driver crashed the car, i didnt have much time in the crater...on the way out i was lucky enough to see lions feeding on a freshly killed wildebeest which i am told was really lucky
