Bolivia : The US issued a danger travel warning for Bolivia for US citizens. Not only were the people the nicest out of all my countries visited, the country actually contained some of the best landscapes I have ever seen. The 3 day trip from San Pedro to Uyuni was one of the best things I have done in my life.

Peru : Machu Picchu has always been a life goal of mine, and spending two days wandering around the ruins was definitely a highlight of my trip. But the country is too "developed" around tourism and it definitely took away from the roughing it/backpack experience.

Brazil/Uruguay : I only spent 5 days in Rio, and barely brought my camera out, but it was a lot of fun. I definitely would like to travel exclusively in Brazil for a future trip. Uruguay was amazing as there was very little tourism. The culture is not as dependent on Argentina as I thought, and Punta Del Diablo was easily one of my favorite spots on the entire trip.

Argentina : The good and the bad of Argentina is what makes it so unique. The good being some of the best landscapes in South America, probably the best cuisine, and beautiful people with great personalities. The bad being a poor organization infrastructure and some pretty lazy people. Either way, I would not want any of that to change because then it would not be the same place.

Chile : Since Chile is so stretched out vertically, it contains many different ecosystems. From the dryest desert in the world to the crazy climate patterns of Torres Del Paine, Chile had it all. While the culture may not equal Argentine's, the higher economic development was very welcome.
