Maya Bay was made famous for its portrayal as Alex Garland's book turned movie "The Beach." While the movie was not that good, I remember watching it and being in shock that there were beaches that looked like that. I heard the beach gets extremely crowded with tourists, but Bino and I lucked out and found a camping trip with only 7 other people on the entire island (its a national park, no hotels or buildings allowed). Having this entire island to ourselves was pretty nuts.
